Schatz 400 day clock, signed on the dial and movement
that it was made in Germany. Dome has an
opening so it is easy to carry the clock as
one piece by holding the loop that
extends thru the top. It was running
while I was photographing and writing,
but it stopped. I checked to see why and
the suspension broke. I have some here
but no time to repair it. An easy fix, sus-
pensions cost pennies. Brass is clean
and bright, case stands 12 high, has
the original dome. $50-$100.

Seth Thomas Clock Co. "Column", ca 1850-1860.
Complete paper label shows Plymouth Hollow, Conn.
as the address, while the 30 hour
brass
movement
is
signed
Plymouth, Ct. The old veneered
case is so dark I cannot tell what
wood was used. The 25 high case
will definitely need to be cleaned,
it is crusty black. Two good glass-
es, good old metal dial, old hands,
old bob and key, and one correct
weight, one incorrect but will run
the clock. This clock will be a
challenge to restore. Ly-Seth
Thomas, page 521. $50-$100.

Ansonia Clock Co. gallery. Not sure which model it is,
but is no doubt 8 day for it has two springs in the bal-
ance movement. The movement is
signed, not real clean, I wound
both springs and it will run a
while and quit. I know it has
not been running for many
years. The dial is a replace-
ment on the old metal pan.
There is no label on the back,
and there have been repairs to
the case and dial pan. Well, it
looks good. It is in a very nice 12
wide oak case, original brass bezel and glass. $50-$100.

Seth Thomas Clock Co. "Cottage", ca 1874.Very nice
rosewood case, 14.5 high, clean as a pin, no wood
damage visible but there is surely a tiny edge nick.
Replaced paper dial on the old
pan, no paint on the bottom glass,
otherwise very good. It has a one
day movement, running strong,
striking on a coil gong, and there
is an alarm that rings on an iron
bell. Complete paper label inside,
correct hands and pendulum bob.
Ly-Seth Thomas, pages 218-219.
$75-$150.

$50
Seth Thomas Clock Co. "Round Band", ca 1880. In the
OG family of clocks, a miniature size, only 16.5 high.
Nice clean case, pine I suppose
with all the rosewood veneer
removed. A non clock person
would probably be delighted
with this clock. A collector may
turn his nose up. Original dial
has been repainted by an
wannabe dial painter, again
would be fine for a non collector.
ST hands, correct brass bob, good
glasses, complete paper label, and
a one day movement that runs and
strikes a coil gong. Ly-Seth
Thomas, page 656. $75-$150.

Junghans small RA, ca 1915. 8 day movement is
signed, running, striking a coil
gong mounted to the back of the
metal movement bracket. The
movement slides into the metal
bracket and is held by thumb
screws. Good RA porcelain bob
and porcelain beat scale. The
wood case has four glasses, all
good. The 19 high case is proba-
bly made of pine or similar wood,
has a slight red cast to it, and some
old worm holes. Nice little clock
except for the worm holes. Dial is
two piece, plastic type material,
note one hand is broken. A pair of
hands are in the case, I forgot to put them on. $50-$100.

$25
Seth Thomas Clock Co. "Column Gilt", ca 1863. This is
an early shelf weight clock, made with rosewood veneer,
standing 25 high. It is dirty, has
many veneer chips, the gilt is
bad, and just basically needs a
complete cleaning and restoration.
35 years ago I would have been in
hog heaven to find a clock like this
to restore. It has decent glasses, the
bottom reverse painted, and the
paint on the metal dial is very good.
There is a good label inside, no
weights, pendulum bob, hands, or
key. The 30 hour movement is
signed Seth Thomas. Ly-Seth
Thomas, pages 521-522. $25-$50.

plastic dome. 2-3 dozen ball bearings. Plugged it up but
nothing happened. Needs ser-
vice. Plastic dome is cracked.

Ceramic clock, running with battery. Case is 13 high,
very attractive, in my opinion would look
much better without the red seconds
hand. $25-$50.

$50
Short drop wall clock, new or near
new, made with parts bought from
Timesavers or Merritt's. The
wood case is 22 high, well con-
structed, identical to all major
company's short drop models.
The wood used in construction
may be mahogany or maple, has
a slight red tint. A good looking
clock, but it is new. 8 day movement
is time and strike. $50-$100.

$50
Seth Thomas Clock Co. early OG weight clock with a
complete paper label indicating it was made in Plymouth
Hollow, Conn. The rosewood
veneered case is 25 high and
beautiful even with a tiny chip
and a tiny veneer repair. The
glasses are original, bottom
poorly rebacked. Very nice orig-
inal painted dial, period hands,
brass bob, and iron weights. It is
missing the suspension spring.
The seat board mounted brass
movement is signed, complete
with weight cords, and would
run if you put in a suspension.
Ly-Seth Thomas, pages 650-654.
$50-$100.

Nice battery wall clock, running properly. Plastic case
is 11 high. New or near new. $10-$25.

$50
Mini cottage clock, 30 hour time only. False grained,
probably pine case is 11.25 high, very good case,
glasses, painted dial, and movement.
Hands are suspect. No label or name
on the movement. You collectors can
identify by location of the winding
arbor. $50-$100.

$50
German box clock, signed, "Mauthe" on the dial.
Inexpensively made, 19 high pine
case, two glasses in the door, small
viewing glasses each side, like new
silver colored dial, original hands,
brass bob, wood stick, and the 8 day
movement is running. The clock
strikes bim-bam on half hours and
hours, three hammers on three long
rods. Nice clean little clock, no
frills, very plain, but does what it
was intended to do, run and tells
you the hours and half hours. $50-
$100.

$75
Seth Thomas Clock Co. Plymouth, Conn., "Column"
clock, ca 1850-1860.
This case
is made a little different than
some we have already shown, it
has the OG design on the front,
top and base. Gold columns, orig-
inal glasses, original painted metal
dial, correct hands, pendulum, and
pair of iron weights. The 30 hour
brass
movement
is
signed,
"S.Thomas / Plymouth, Conn.".
The mahogany veneered case is
25 high, ragged veneer on the
bottom and top boards, a chip on
the bottom board, but a restorable
clock. There is no label inside this case. Ly-Seth
Thomas, page 521. $75-$150.
